GreenTalk is a not-for-profit initiative run by Climate Works Ltd and Bristol’s Green Capital Partnership as part of Good Living Week.
Inspired by TED, GreenTalk takes the same approach to sharing ideas with a global audience – short talks, given in-front of a live audience, filmed and made available for free on-line. But with the focus on climate change, energy security and at the protection of the natural world. And about the responses and solutions to these issues.
GreenTalk has received financial support from The Design Programme, The Environmental iNet and The Creative Industries iNet.
- The Design Programme is part-financed by the European Union’s ERDF Competitiveness and Employment Programme and the ERDF Convergence Programme. The Design Programme, which delivers Designing Demand in the South West, secured over £2 million of ERDF investment through the South West Regional Development Agency.
- The Environmental iNet is a £2 million initiative supporting Environmental Goods and Services companies in the South West (excluding Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly). As a ‘one-stop-shop’ for the sector, it helps businesses access specialist knowledge, develop products and services, improve competitiveness and engage with new routes to market.
- The Creative Industries iNet is a £3.2 million programme of support that will run until 2013, to help the South West’s creative industries sector thrive and advance the region’s growing reputation as a global creative hotspot.
