Moving Planet – action around the globe on 24-09-2011 23 September, 2011

350.org will be holding one of the biggest global events yet with Moving Planet, tomorrow 24th September 2011. As ever expect the wild and the wacky, the creative, thought provoking and challenging ideas from around the globe on solving the climate crisis.

All 9 GreenTalks are now on-line and can be viewed here. A great opportunity to hear fantastic speakers discuss some really big ideas in between 6 and 12 minutes.

The first two films from Dawn Keyse or Lancaster Cohousing, and John Gapper of Brighton and Hove District Council go on-line this afternoon. Dawn discusses a project to build 40 zero carbon homes and John shares the outcome of 35 years of collecting and conserving wildflower seeds in Brighton and Hove.

GreenTalk – ‘Brilliant!’ 16 June, 2011

Over 150 people packed the Arnolfini last night for GreenTalk and an evening which was variously described as ‘brilliant’, ‘incredible’ and ‘inspiring’ by those who were there. Eleven speakers delivered some spell binding talks ranging across the issues of climate change, energy security, food and the natural environment. Ann Pettifor joins the GreenTalk line-up 3 June, 2011

We are delighted that Ann Pettifor has been able to join the line-up of speakers at GreenTalk this year. Ann is Director of PRIME (Policy Research in Macroeconomics) an economic think-tank that promotes understanding of the nature of credit, and its role in determining macroeconomic outcomes. Read more
